I am about to cast off my cardigan. Once that is done (which will take ages because I have 318 stitches currently), all I need to do is graft the armpit holes closed, block it and then sew on the buttons.

Edited to add: Oh, and darn in six million ends....

I am so, so excited!!

I should be putting the children to bed but I couldn't wait any longer to show you all how the cardigan is progressing! The sleeves are now attached - hurrah, and it wasn't nearly as scary as I was expecting, so I'm hoping the other scary bits to come aren't as bad either. :-)

It's a lot less bright than this in real life, but the flash has lightened the colours up a lot on the photos.

I've almost got a sleeve. I am about 11 rows off having a sleeve, I think, but I've decided those last 11 rows can wait till tomorrow so I can take advantage of the extra hour's sleep ( Read more... )

Here it is so far in all its glory. The colours are beautiful, and just slightly darker than the photograph suggests, even after I played with it and edited the shading etc.
