Thank God this year is done.

• I got pneumonia
• I quit my job
• I have had to accept the fact that I will soon have a new brother-in-law whom I abhor
• My (youngest) sister walked out of the house and never came back
• My (youngest) brother got expelled from two different schools for drugs (first for dealing, second for using), and is now in a rehab/halfway ( Read more... )

I suppose it's un-sisterly of me to want to watch the Saints-Falcons MNF game next week rather than go to my dress-fitting for the bridesmaid dress for Murray's wedding...

This is the game of the year (other than the Superbowl, but technically that's next year...) that I want to watch live, come on!

This is how little bearing this particular holiday has on me - every time the doorbell rings, I'm baffled as to why random people are at our door after dark, and it's not until I see the bowl of candy sitting by the door that I remember "Oh!  It's Halloween!  They're trick-or-treaters!"
