Both front and back gardens are as tidy as they've ever been. I do need to do another cut on the front grass next time we have a dry day. (Not sure when that will be.) The back has been strimmed right down to what I refer to as the bottom terrace and I raked up the grass I cut the other day on the top half ( Read more... )

The forecast said it would rain at 4 p.m. and then it will be wet most of next week. I therefore decided to quickly mow the front grass, even though it wasn't too long, so it would stay looking neat. The hooping practice is going OK. However, for the next few days I will focus on hooping at the waist and hip and work on things like moving and turning while hooping, with the occasional attempt at chest hooping ( Read more... )

Fortunately I was good and went out promptly this morning while it was still fine. Today's task was to grub out ferns from around the front wall of the house. It was hard work, requiring a spade and a heavy crowbar, but I removed two huge ferns and three medium sized ones. So far I've been reasonably productive. The ukulele arrived safely this morning (see icon!) and it's a dear little thing. So cute! It was even still in tune and I discovered that guitar playing skills are very much transferable to ukuleles.
