Penny crossed over the Rainbow Bridge tonight.

I miss that little squeaker.

So, we took our Cannonball back for a follow up visit today, and we had to put him down. He couldn't ball up or move his lower half, and he was frustrated and tired. No matter how much feedback we got about other possibilities, Cannonball wasn't happy, so we said goodbye and had his body sent to the University of Georgia for a full necropsy to ( Read more... )

Madison died about an hour ago. She had food water and a warm environment. She was walking around like normal this morning and wasn't showing any signs of illness, so this is a shock to me. She was a little under a year old.

Does anyone know anything that can cause hedgehogs to die like that, without warning?

I'm disappointed that no one responded to my post the other day but it no longer matters.

Alexander the Great died sometime during the night. I don't know why. I just held him yesterday as he happily munched his food. I'm so distraught and just keep blaming myself.
He was just a baby.

i took qbert to the vet and he had WHS. i guess now looking back i can see it happening. he stopped running on his wheel, but one time i caught him sitting on the ground and just using his front paws to move the wheel. i didn't think anything of it, i just thought he was too fat for it! but, then he stopped eating and drinking, even mealworms. i ( Read more... )
