“Computer, freeze programme” Janeway ordered, laughter dying on her lips. She had been tempted over the years; sorely tempted when it came to Michael Sullivan, but Kathryn Janeway had never had sex with a hologram. It just wasn’t her style and despite Chakotay assuring her that it was perfectly normal she wasn’t about to start any time soon. But then he had given her this programme for her birthday; a scenario in which she played a security ensign on the Enterprise, serving under Captain Kirk. She knew the captain had a reputation for being a bit of a ladies’ man, but this was ridiculous! She had been on the bridge all of five minutes before he had started to come onto her - it was hilarious. And Spock and McCoy weren’t helping either - they seemed to either be totally oblivious to the flirting or simply so used to it that it no longer registered with them. For a brief moment she wondered what would happen if she started flirting with members of her crew on the bridge... no, probably best not to let her thoughts wander too far down that road.
She pulled down the hemline of the uniform she was wearing; she hadn’t realised just how short the dresses female officers had to wear in the 23rd century were until she was wearing one herself. She would definitely have to think long and hard about letting Chakotay come play this programme with her. She took a deep breath and looked at the man standing in front of her, a sly smile on his holographic face. “Computer, resume programme”.
Kathryn Janeway had never had sex with holograms. But there was a first time for everything...
