my week Aug 11-today.
im too lazy to write in here..it must be the HOT weather. but i will force myself....hmm.
thanks to everyone who wished me "Happy birthday" on the 12th! I had a nice and relaxing day. What did i do? Went to a psyc student union bbq for a couple of hours, then went shopping (hadnt done it in a month!), went out for sushi and gelato ice cream with parents, then went for dessert with my friend and watched a movie (i think). anyway, it was a really nice day! My brother Chris called from London, Ont. to wish me a happy birthday and he's sending me off to see JOSH GROBAN in concert, on Sept 1st!!! He's such a SWEET brother!!! I love him so much, hehe.
I forget exactly what day it was (i think Wed/Thurs), but i finally got to play Mah jong with my friends (all non-asian), watched "Dirty Dancing: Havana Nights", and i actually saw a shooting star!!!
Friday: went dancing at Robson Square whom i met vivian from cac, some ppl from ubc dance club, also my friends Mingji, shannon, and my parents' family friends, and Ed who i danced just 2 dances only before leaving for all you can-eat LATE night sushi on Robson (very reasonable price!), walked on the cool sand with bare feet, and went home.
Saturday: went to the Capilano suspension bridge with my guy friend jd - the treetop adventures are just alright. I enjoyed looking at all of the trees much better and sampling the fudge at the end! Then we went out to a nice restaurant for dinner to celebrate my 21st bday, which i got really RED from drinking just one cocktail (this is why i dont drink!), walked around on denman, went shopping!!, watched the sunset, went for True confections dessert (YUM), and then watched Sound of Music (a GOOD classic).
Speaking of which, do you know they're planning to re-make the classic "Mary Poppins" originally stars Julie Andrews, replacing with the moern version starring Cameron Diaz? or that's what i heard anyway. NOO they can't re-make it! I've never heard Cameron sing!! they might dub it but it's not the same!! oh well...
And today (sunday) was the CAC General Meeting..yay for 10 people showing up!! HAHA. And im going to relax now. I actually have the whole house to myself for once for a few hours (not that it's a bad thing, but still). My parents are celebrating their 31st Anniversary tonight at the William Tell Restaurant. Congrats to them! I hope they like the present that Chris and i got them.
Whew, what a week! FYI, my last exam was Aug 11th, so all i have been doing is going out, eating, and staying up really late.
