I'm a Tourist!
monday:
A bunch of us (nic,dan,lindsey,jd) and i went to playland and we went on all of the rides! It was so much fun! The "kettle mine coaster" is exactly like the "dragon" coaster that used to be there for the kids, they only changed the name. But the Crazy Beach Party was a great ride - it's like the Pirate ship only it spins you around as well. However, there are sexual suggestive pictures on the wall so little kids should not be looking at them - hence the name "crazy beach" - haha. We also went to the Asylum only i thought it wasn't very scary. It was really dark though and we had to make our way around by feeling the sides - tactile environment (ah, i did learn something from microgeog). The only part that scared me a little was when my friend said "boo"! Haha, it was fun nevertheless. My 2 fave rides are still the log ride and the musical express. Why? Because on the log ride, you can splash the ppl in the front if you're in the back (in which case we all got soaking wet!) and you can *squish* the people on the outside on the musical ride when going fast. We also played DDR at the arcade machine and played some skeeball. What a fun day!
Thanks for coming out Lindsey! We laughed soo much that day. I'm a little bruised though and my neck is so sore!!
tuesday:
I met my cousin Jason and his wife paul who's expecting their first child, as well as Jason's friends: Lee & Gwen at 10am and we went to the Queen Elizabeth Pitch & Putt range. It was quite fun, seeing how it was my 2nd time doing it ever! One thing i've noticed is that im VERY good at hitting the ball straight and far so that the ball goes pretty close to the green (good form too!), BUT im so bad at the putting part! I guess i need to play more mini-golf to practice! Hey that's what a bunch of us should do .. go mini-golfing!
Then we went to grouse mountain for lunch and then we went on a guided walking tour where we saw a 30 min. bird show and saw 2 orphaned bears in an enclosed area. The information that was given was pretty interesting, especially the parts about when birds know which are ready for mating etc. I took a picture of a great horned owl up close, the ones that are in the Harry Potter movies . Oh, it was such a fun day! And tomorrow will be a relaxing day to shop, play mj, and see what else i can do.
On another note, i just checked my marks for this summer and im very happy about them! I got A's in both of them, YAY! Another reason to celebrate!
