I had to put Mitzi down this morning. I knew it was probably going to have to be done in the next month or so...but I didn't expect it to be today. She was 15 and a half. She'd been having increased difficulty getting up and moving around - not pain, really...just weakness. She'd also been having increased bouts of disorientation. Sometimes

15 and a half is old for a dog; i think you did the right thing. it wasn't selfish, it was self-less, not putting her through the agony of treatments for months on end, letting her go. you know she's happier now. maybe she'll run into bear and charlie. :)

she really was one of the quietest, best dogs ever. she was happy and loved and content and so incredibly well cared for.

Oh my gosh, sweetie...I am so, so sorry to hear this. She was a sweet, beautiful dog and a pleasure to see when I came to visit you two.
