cloverbud time!
This week we have a handful of "Cloverbuds" at camp, a.k.a. 5-8 year-old 4-H members. Gabe is my favorite. He is 5 and his favorite class is Performing Arts because of the prop closet. Ava: Do you dress him up in little outfits? I want to get a bulldog so I can dress it up as Winston Churchill! -

You know you work at a summer camp... a 4-H Camp in particular... when your boss calls you at home and asks you to go to the Farm Supply and buy some calf developer (baby formula for cows) on your way to work in the morning :) -

- Carolyn and Joe's wedding on Saturday was one of the most beautiful things I've ever seen, plus the first one I've seen at UVa. I've always thought the Chapel was too dark and gothic for a wedding ceremony, but it didn't seem that way with the wedding going on! Life is a whirlwind, not a highway...
Work is crazy. We had a good week at camp this past week, ABHRP, the kids and teens and even the adults and agents are all very respectful and well-behaved. I got to swing dance in the talent show. Today was pretty horrible. Like, not worst-day-ever status, but Susie quit work and that bums me out beyond belief. I know that our friendship is strong enough that it won't matter, I mean, I'm going to be a bridesmaid for her last year, but camp time to me IS my Susie time. And Susie is my sanity at camp.
