Happy New Year! I generally don't make resolutions because then I feel like a failure when I do nothing about them but I do really want to come back and post more and get involved with you guys again. I think it will be easier now that the apartment is done and I can just sit and play and not feel like I'm ignoring D. because we live together now...there's no way TO ignore him ;)
Domains - I am keeping get-a-cookie. I am not keeping cowsforbuffy. The domain name expired and I thought that it was the perfect opportunity to let it go. I will move all the icons and wallpapers over to cookie at some point. I think I am going to take the B/S site and make it B/S, R/J, and J/P so I can have all my fic in one place. The screencaps for The Office and Felicity will remain online. My Name is Earl will not. All the freeze frames that were hosted on cfb are now gone and will not be cookie. I think that's it. I had pretty much whittled my sites down to nothing so that's good for me. Of course, all I want to do right now is get everything situated but I can't because I don't have my computer still so I just get more and more anxious like it even matters!
Christmas - I said to D. that we made out like bandits this year because we just got tons of stuff. And it was all good! We got our burners for our "kitchen", a George Forman rotisserie which I can not wait to use because I can bake in it! And cook book looks like tons of fun. A membership to Costco, lots of candles (they come in handy but WOW with the candles!), a few Sudoku games because if I say I like it once, I get it...if I say I like something for years, nadda! Always the way, right? And the biggest thing of all is the laptop which D.'s mom bought us. I had a feeling but D. was shocked.
It's really nice but there are a few problems with it and I think we will either need to send it back or bring it to the geek squad. The thing has a lot of power but everything takes forever and a day to open and it doesn't shut down clean. I'm excited that I can take screencaps again because I'm a huge dork and we're going to network my computer, his computer and the laptop. It was too much of a gift and I felt like a complete asshole giving her some photo albums, a manicure kit and a bath pillow but hey, we didn't know and it's not like we could give her something that grand. She means well and how long have I been wanting a laptop but it's all very strange. I don't feel like it's mine and everything is on my computer and I'm far too lazy to transfer everything and if it took 2 hours to put Word on the laptop - and not to mention it didn't work and I had to repair the download - I can't even imagine putting all the programs on there. OH and she's like this is a space saver which great but she gets us this printer that is bigger than the desk I bought. It's color printer, fax, and scanner and neither one of us need nor want it so we have no idea what to do with it. I shouldn't complain. I'm not. I'm shutting up.
24 - I've never watched 24 and I decided, after seeing DB Woodside in the commercials, that I would watch this year. So I rented the first season and watched it this weekend. Now I have to rent season 2, which I didn't think I would do but damn it, I really liked it and I have to know what happens after. I didn't actually want another show to watch but that's what the DVR was invented for, right?
Entourage - HBO OnDemand used to let you watch a whole season's worth of episodes but for some reason, they now only show 4 at a time and it lasts like 2 months. So 2 months ago I watched the first 4 eps of season 2 and then Friday, they finally changed it so I was able to watch the next 4, stopping with "Oh Mandy". D. really likes it, I still want to rent the first season and so I guess we watch Entourage now.
Work - HAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAATTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE. That about sums it up.
Puppies! When I buy my camera - which should happen sooner rather than later since I have the laptop now and don't need to save for that - I will take pics of the place and of my mom's dog, Cujo. He is the most adorable thing EVER. I really didn't expect to like a little tiny dog but he's just too cute. It's impossible not to love him.
Read it! - If you want something fluffy and hysterical to read, check out TWOP's
752 Things.... It's quick and a really good "before bed" book.
Need it! - The only thing I didn't get for Christmas (besides a new tooth - note to self: call dentist!) was 90210. I will buy it this week because as D. said, "That should be a fun marathon". It will be! Not for him but why should that matter???
