(no subject)
Last night I sanded wood putty from the wall. F-U-N. I didn't wear gloves because I'm an idiot and so my thumbs are split and raw and hurt quite a bit. And D., who is supposed to know what he's doing, put his putty on way too thick and I was like "This is all yours, buddy" and I sanded my nice, clean spots. I've always hated wood panelling but I hate it even more now. I mean, really, who puts a dartboard on panelling? And believe me, these people were not good dart players. There has to be 200 holes, at least. And once we filled it in, there was a perfect circle where the dartboard was. Awesome. There were dart holes in walls were the dartboard was nowhere near. Idiots.
Did I tell you about the mirrors in the bedroom? Oh, well, there are square mirrors covering two of the walls. Apparently, the braintrusts that owned the house prior were going to have a workout room there so they super glued 12x12 mirrors along the walls and then super glued and nailed trim around it. I truly believe these people did it when they decided to sell the house just so poor schmucks like us would have to deal with taking it down. The trim was a bitch and we've put a lot of dents in the walls. The mirrors didn't come down easily at all but then we used a steamer and it's been a little better than it was and there is glue everywhere. So I'm looking forward to sanding those walls on Saturday.
It's a good arm workout, at least.
I wrote a little post-"Casino Night" ficlet, which can be found here, if anyone is interested. I have about 6 season 2 eps capped. I'm still trying to figure Coppermine, but I haven't really been trying very hard as my mind has been taken over by Benjamin Moore.
I still haven't fixed my computer. But I did get a 35% off coupon from Dell yesterday and I've been thinking of buying a laptop. So...maybe I will. I don't know. We don't really have room in the apartment for a big computer set-up and the laptop would be so easy. I've never had one but I assume it does everything a regular computer does, right? I can still take caps and all that stuff, right? Because, really, I only care about taking caps of Jim and Pam. ;)
"Restless" was on this morning. It made me really miss Buffy and Buffy.
