it's always raining in my head

I'm sick. And I've been extremely cranky for the last week or so and I thought it best to just stay away. Plus, my computer's DVD/CD drives got fried during one of the nastier rain storms so I can't take caps of DVDs and if I can't take caps, I see no point on being on the computer. Figure that one out. However, I started to do TO s2 the other day because I have all the torrents and that works fine.

Good thing I bought that $250 warranty! Now I just have to call them.

Rick and I saw Staind on Saturday. The two opening bands were Hurt and Three Days Grace. I've never heard of them but I don't really listen to the radio anymore. It's pretty much Fiona, Staind, VM/GA soundtrack, and Johnny Cash rotation in my CD player. So anyway, they were very good opening bands and Staind finally came out at about 9:30 and played for about an hour and a 1/2. No encore or anything but that was okay because did I mention the monsoon? We were under the tent but we were on the ocean side and we were soaked. Everyone was but my toes were numb by the time we were ready to leave. But it was totally worth it because Aaron Lewis rocks my world.

Set list: Falling, Crawl, So Far Away, Blow Away, Fade, Suffer, Paper Jesus, Devil, Black (a truly fantastic cover that had just Aaron jamming acoustic style. It was perfect), For You (everyone was just screaming the song and it was this insanely intense vibe and just awesome), Waste, Everything Changes, Outside (they, thankfully, did the hard version and not that slow, acoustic one), Right Here, This Love (another cover...Pantera, I believe. It was crazy), It's Been Awhile (he said, "I've been singing this song since before anyone gave a fuck" which is so true), Mudshuvel and King of All Excuses.

As much as I loved IBA when it came out, it has been so overplayed. I really wished they had done "Epiphany" because that's my most favorite but it was still a fantastic show. I was just really pleased that they did so many songs off of "Break the Cycle". I was nervous. That was two albums ago, you know? So I was really happy. If the Jagermesiter tour comes your way, check it out.

What else? The apartment is...a huge mess and nothing has really been done since everyone that was working on it went to look at boobs in Canada last weekend. *heavy sigh* Whatever. I did crazy shopping, found a chair and ottoman, bought the bedding, lights, lamps, medicine cabinet and high storage cabinet thing for the bathroom and I'm pretty much Ikea's whore. I'm like the narrator in "Fight Club". Damn them for building it so close to me. Damn them all to hell. I was perfectly content to never, ever shop there. Now it's like crack.

I'm still working on The Office mood theme and I'm certain that someday all of my 112 icons will be The Office. Hi, new obession. It feels really, really awesome to be all squee!fangirly about something again. And, really, it hasn't happened since Buffy ended. I have moments during GG, Lost, VM, GA, hell even Alias, when I get all crazy but, really, nothing has filled that void quit like The Office has lately. It's kind of strange because it's just a 1/2 hour COMEDY show. I'm confused.

I never really watched Everwood...here and there when it first started but I'm really sad for everyone who did. It always seemed like such an excellent show that I always forgot about because I wouldn't touch the WB on Mondays for fear of being hit with any form of 7th Heaven.

Also, because you people wouldn't shut up about Supernatural, I pre-ordered it and I hope I like it. I hope I can get over my dislike of Jared Padaleckilookiloo. It's VM season 1 all over again.

I'm sure you have read that Shonda from GA is developing a new show and she's hoping JDM will star in it. If I could find the link to that story, I'd link it but that was days ago. Maybe tvguide.com.

Well, my 1/2 hour is up. Hope everyone is well! I behind but I'm going to catch up when I get home.
