(no subject)
So the other day I was sort of down. Sorry about that. I'm okay now. I just need to sleep. Our tourney went very well. It didn't rain so there's a plus and no one is here today I may just leave early even though my desk is covered with conversion crap that is never friggin' ending.
I was having a really bad week that started with our HR consultant quizzing me about my job (we're getting a part-timer who will do my data entry stuff and I'm getting a sort of promotion and doing the membership events which I really, really want to do so yay!) but when going over my job, she just said all these not so great things about my job and the brain power needed to do my job and I'm like wow, way to insult me lady and that put me in a funk. Then just people at work...or a person...going on my desk and taking things that don't belong to her and I'm like wtf, dude, stay away. I don't go rummaging through your office. So she told on me and I put my resume on Monster.
So when I got home yesterday, there was a...not an offer...but a "We'd love for you to call us and talk to us about a position we have. We think you'd be perfect for it". It's to this place called Circles. It sounds kind of neat. It's in Boston which is a pain in the ass, and of course, no salary was mentioned but, really, could I make any less than I do now? Probably not.
I didn't think anyone would actually look at my resume because according to the HR person, a sped kid could do my job.
Yeah, I have no idea what to do.
I think we're looking at furniture this weekend! Yay! I want to buy a chair and an ottoman but do you know how expensive a chair and an ottoman are? It's insane. And, naturally, the one I really fell in love with is at Crate and Barrell and that's not exactly cheap. We still need to buy the vanity to stud the bathroom and then we can get the carpeting and the paint. I can't wait for the bathroom to be done so I can actually start to help. I'm the fucking shit with painting. I love it so very much.
I think we're going to see X-Men tonight. I'm so excited!!! Next weekend is Staind, I got my Fiona Apple tickets this week so you KNOW I'm beside myself over that one, and I go to tlace's in 10 weeks! How crazy! I'm sure everyone's seen the beautiful icons she posted the other day but in case you haven't, go check em out here.
