Salvaging the Freezer Foods (Dual pup - ota)
The power was out and Eli had a pretty good idea why. Even though he should have probably gone to look at the lab, he was not there. Khan would be there and Eli didn't feel like being dead at the moment which was why he brought his tub of ice cream up to the roof of the hotel. He hoped this would be the last place the terrifying alien would come looking for him. As for the tub of Cookies 'N Cream, well - it was going to melt anyways, so he might as well eat it before it went to waste, right?
During the day, the village didn't seem entirely reliant on power. He wondered if he could even figure out how to turn the power back on for the village. Eli realized he didn't even know what kind of power source the village ran on. Nuclear? Coal? Hydro? The answer was probably something more mystical than that.
At least the ice cream was good.

Kamekona was in the park with an old fashioned barbecue going. There were shrimp he couldn't store and other food in his fridge like hot dogs and some steaks. Instead of letting it go to waste, he decided to take it out to the park in front of where his shrimp truck was and sell it. Everything was on discount, though. A dollar for most things.
The open fire was kind of nice. It reminded him of camping but without all the stuff he didn't like, like sleeping on the ground.
Everything came with shave ice, too, before that melted all away.
