Ruby was sitting in the clinic waiting room, having just signed in. She was very nervous, tapping her foot as she waited to be called. This was her first check-up of this sort, and she was nervous as to what types of tests would be performed, in addition to the results of those tests, and what they would tell her about her baby.

She leaned forward in her chair, to keep her foot from tapping, hugging herself tightly in her nerves.
