At the Clinic (Closed to Robert St.Clair, Andrej Koscuisko)

Ruby was sitting in the clinic waiting room, having just signed in. She was very nervous, tapping her foot as she waited to be called. This was her first check-up of this sort, and she was nervous as to what types of tests would be performed, in addition to the results of those tests, and what they would tell her about her baby

Robert put his hand on her back, and stroked in soothing circles.

"Sometimes I can't tell whether I'm more excited or more nervous."

She relaxed a little, sitting up.

"You have nothing to be worried about. You'll be an amazing father. If this kid turns out like you, then we'll have done everything right."

"You'll be amazing too, dearest. I'm certain."

She looked up at him with wide eyes.

"Can I tell you the truth? I don't think I'm going to be good at this at all."
