Arrival (Open)

Meg was dressed in her finest day dress for her appointment with her maman and the new Opera owners. The refurbishings were finally complete since everything that had happened with le fantôme d'opéra and they were preparing for their first production. Meg thought that it would feel strange not having le fantôme there in the building. As long as she could remember, he had been a constant presence in her life.

She held one of her gloved hands over her stomach to calm the nervous butterflies before taking a deep breath and opened the door to step out onto the sunlit Paris streets. Her mouth formed a surprised 'o' at the sight that greeted her instead. The sounds of the horse drawn carriages had disappeared, the cobbled streets beneath her feet were replaced by something very foreign and the people that passed were dressed unusually. Meg's fingers tightened on her umbrella as the previously quelled butterflies began to jump frantically once again. Where was she?
