Who's Watching That Kid. (OTA)

It was chaos outside the Cicero Dayschool (which was just a fancy term for 'day care', Ben knew this), but that was usual around noon. That was when the teachers sent all the kids outside for a few hours to run off their energy. It was also the perfect time for an escape, since it would be almost two hours before anyone noticed him missing.

Him being Ben Braeden. His birthday had been two weeks ago, where he had met Dean. Dean, who had helped him get his game back and drove that wicked Impala. And there was that freaky looking creature that had locked him in a cage like the other kids.

Then last night, he had heard his mom talking to Jennie's mom, saying that she had lied to Dean, that Dean was really his dad. Which meant his dad was cool and wanted him and not some sleazy biker that smelled like beer that one time he had showed up. So he had packed up his backpack this morning and snuck it outside to the bushes while his mom was in the shower, and then grabbed it when he got on the bus this morning.

Looking around the playground, he spotted Miss Smith. She was nice, but she took care of the toddlers and didn't pay much attention to the older kids, unlike Mrs. Kenner who watched them all like a hawk. Running over, he asked her if he could go inside to the bathroom and grinned when she waved him toward the doors. As soon as he was out of sight of the doors, he ran back toward the classroom. Mrs. Kenner always kept the windows opened because a few of the kids had problems with the air conditioning, so he just dropped his bag out the window and climbed out after it.

Hitting the ground, he picked up his bag and slipped it on. Turning around, he pushed his way through the bushes, fully expecting to make a mad dash to the corner and around the bank.

Only, there was no bank. In fact, he was standing on a street outside of a building with a sign that read 'General Store'. The one next to it read 'The Attic'. Spinning around, the dayschool building was gone, replaced by a street and more buildings.

"Where the hell am I?"
