i'm doing it, i swear!

phew.

last week was not a good gym week. i joined on monday and went to yoga. i HAD plans to go every other day that week, but i was lazy. bad me. i did not go again until saturday morning at 10 am for an intro to spinning class. it was awesome! sadly, i cannot do it at the gym in the evenings because it clashes with work.

however... the morning times are quite convenient. they start at 6 (some 6:15) and go to 7 or 7:15. i usually wake up at 7:30-8:00 and leave at 8:45. do i have the stamina, i asked myself, to totally change my mornings and wake up super early? instead of waking up at 7:30, i'd be home at 7:30, and have a good morning routine of showering, eating breakfast, preparing lunch, and going to work. however, this DOES involve waking up at 5:30.

so i figured, okay, i'll give it a week. on each morning it's offered this week (excluding saturday and sunday), i will get my ass out of bed and spin.

last night i drank quite a fair amount. a VERY fair amount. i was sloppy drunk, plus, i didn't hydrate. heh. i dragged my drunk ass into bed, surprised i didn't vomit, not thinking about the next morning. this was at 1:30 or 2.

SOMEHOW. somehow. the alarm went off at 5:30. i got out of bed and changed into sweats. put in my contacts so my glasses wouldn't sweat off my face. suddenly discovered that i was probably going to be a few minutes late, and it would be better to start this on wednesday (no morning spin on tuesday). forced myself to go and just DO it, now, today, and stop putting it off. realized that the car was buried in snow. unburied it. drove on the skiddy slippy roads, stumbled up the gym stairs and onto the bike, and goddammit, i did a really good job! i didn't go as intense as the instructor was, but um, it was my first real class, so go me.

anyway. i plan to keep this up all week unless i get ill or something like that. but if this somehow works out, that'd be pretty awesome. i also wouldn't mind going to the evening classes i CAN go to, such as yoga and pilates and bodypump and shit.

dudes, i am going to be one buff muffin. you could even call me... buffin.
