da gym.

so, i joined the gym, and tonight i did a vinyasa yoga workout for an hour. very nice.

i also want to take up spinning, and this thing called "bodypump" which is a group weights thing that looks pretty intense. i'd like to do the yoga classes, spinning classes, some group fitness things like bodypump, maybe some water aerobics, and if i have any class-free days, just do maybe 20-30 minutes on the elliptical and some weight machines. i'm better with classes, though, i feel - just more regular about going to them.

so, on mondays i can do vinyasa yoga from 6:30 to 7:30, maybe some other cardio/weights before or after. tuesdays, i can do spinning from 6 to 7 and/or kundalini from 8 to 9:30. doing both seems crazily intense, so we'll see. wednesdays, i'll try out bodypump at 7:30. thursdays, maybe spinning if i can get there on time... online it says 6:30, on this thing it says 6, and sadly i get out of work at 6 and wouldn't get there till around 6:15. weep. fridays the only class available is muscle conditioning, which i'm not terribly interested in, but i'd try it out anyway. saturdays and sundays i can do spinning, yoga, or bodypump, so we'll see. on mondays, tuesdays, and weekends, i could also try water aerobics.

anyway. this week i'm going to check out a bodypump intro class and a spinning intro class, and then mayhaps next week i can get into the swing of things.

there's classes every morning at 6:15, which is too damn bad. if it was 7:15-8:15, i'd be able to go, work out, shower, and get to work on time. i sort of doubt i could go to a 6:15 workout, though... who knows.

anyway. i'd like to go to the gym 4-5 times a week. i know BMIs aren't always accurate, but um, i'm not a bodybuilder, sooooo... yeah. my BMI at 170 lbs is 25.8, and at my current weight (165) it's 25.1. 25.0 is "overweight." no biggie, but when i entered college my BMI was in the 21s, so let's see if we can't get it back down there.

okay. i'm just rambling. i wish i could quit my job and just take all the classes at the gym. that, and do classes at simmons, and i'd be living it UP. except i'd be broke, but um. yeah. okay. enough rambling. toodles.
