The continuing debate on fast food

I noticed this article today, because I'm also training for a marathon (in about a month, eep!). I'm always amazed that people consider doing things like this.

I understand the challenge aspect of it -- but I limit myself to fast food once or twice a month. And it's usually a kid's meal.

So, out of curiosity... has anyone tried anything like this? Eaten a very specific way simply to challenge yourself?
