Momma is happy!
Y'all know the old saying: if Momma ain't happy, ain't nobody happy. I'm pleased to say that both my mom and I are happy, so by definition, everyone is happy! I had a nice morning that began with breakfast in bed (biscuits with apple butter and biscuits with cinnamon sugar!). Later we all went to Mom's house where Sis already was, and had come of the Happy Mom's Day cake that Sis had bought for Mom. I gave Mom a sweater with humming birds on it, which she seemed to like very much. After a nice long visit, Bill and C took me out to dinner at O'Charley's. YUM. Then it was back to the house, where we ended the evening sitting on the back deck, with Bill and I enjoying a cup of coffee while we all talked as the sun set. Wonderful day. Momma is happy!
Another reason I'm happy is that Bill dutifully began the mile-long "honey-do" list I've had for a while. The hose in the heat pump that was leaking condensation is fixed. The dryer vent is fixed! Did I mention I was HAPPY? Now we only have C's shower ( a pipe is leaking) and some shingling on the roof, and all will be well! Isn't life grand when I'M HAPPY???? Yes, yes it is. Ask anyone near me.
