No, the Headbanger didn't fall off the wagon; I merely began taking my Neurontin again, which is a sure way to knock me out until next week. I had been without Neurontin ( an anti-seizure med given to fibro people to help pain and sleep issues) for a while, and my body is not used to it again. I woke up at 7:30 with a very fuzzy head indeed. A bowl of cereal and several cups of coffee got me back on track. Must remember to take it earlier tonight. It REALLY does help with sleep, but I have to factor in the time it takes to wake up and be alive.
By lunchtime I was several hours out from my hangover, and C was done with school. We ran to the bank so I could cash a tutoring check. I can't tell you how much it means to me to have my own money again. I know that what Bill makes is "our" money, but I've worked my whole life until recently, and it's been so odd not to have my own little stash. And speaking of having my own stash....
....I'm going to use it at Barnes and Noble tonight. C and I are meeting Sis there for frappuccinos. No, I'm not giving my kid espresso (she'd explode); they have cream-based fraps that are quite good and contain no coffee. She really likes the chocolate chip one. I rather like the strawberry one, myself. We'll let C browse the kids' section while we hang about in the wonderful arm chairs they have. I'm really looking forward to it. Then Sis is coming back here to spend the night. We may watch a bit of "American Idol" if we get back in time.
