Our Christian walks are like roller coaster rides. "The problem" with the roller coaster is that there is no telling what’s around the next corner, and if your going to like it or not. Sometimes the coaster is smooth and level, other times it plunges deep into darkness, spinning out of control and other times it flies into the air soaring high above the trees and even into the clouds.
Despite this roller coaster ride being full of twists, turns, spins, drops and who knows what else, Jesus is the operator of this ride and He knows His rides. Each of us ride on this roller coaster, sometimes together and other times as a single rider, but we all go through it. The good times and the bad times He is always there watching and on guard to make sure that we get the most out of our ride yet still have the time of our lives, then afterwards as we get off He asks us, "Did you enjoy the ride my good and faithful servant?" I wonder what your response would be. I know what mine would be, and that is that although it was scary at times and other times it was the most exciting thing I have ever done in my life, I wouldn't trade that ride for the world.
So I'm taking Kire's advice to write some short Modern Day Parables, beginning with this one that I've already written. Now I just need some inspiration for some more, I know that God will provide though, He seems to always have a way of making this physical world relate to things that we deal with spiritually speaking.
Always AIMing,
Zach
