G'day Mates

Well It's been almost two weeks since I left Florida and being here so far has been really great.

Thursday, the day after I arrived here we went to a lectureship at the Macquarie School of Biblical Studies called the MOSBS Lectureship 2006. (Catchy name isn't it?) It was a five day lectureship starting on Monday and ending on Sunday so I arrived half way through it. My teammate Jonathan and I, along with three other guys that are working in another part of Australia got to lead the morning devotional, which everyone said that we did a great job on. After the morning devotional we listened to three or four speakers and had tea breaks. (Well there was more then just tea but that's what they call it)

On Friday night we had a youth night at the church, there was about 10 youth. One of the members here in Blacktown led the study but all of us participated in it. We also played games and had hotdogs for dinner. It was heaps of fun and I got to meet a lot of youth around the area, not just in Blacktown church.

Sunday morning we were introduced to the church, Jonathan helped lead the youth class while I stayed in the adult class. I think that we will probably be leading the youth class a lot and maybe even helping with the younger classes also.

So all in all I have had a good first week here. Right now Jonathan and I are looking for an apartment and a car, once we have that we can really start doing heaps more work here and even with the surrounding churches.

In Him,
Zachary W.

P.S Sometime or another I am going to make a post with random stuff that is different here then in the states. Should be interesting.
