So I started off with good intentions. I put on the running gear and donned my fancy running watch (courtesy of Mum and Dad for Christmas) and went off for a run.

Elder came with me as the intention is that we will take part in the Thorney 10k. We decided to go for 5k... You know, start small and build up.

 I went skating today, which i haven't done in a while.  I found out that i can still skate at a satisfactory level, which is good.

After school i went around Elder's to do 'revision', which involved playing Star Wars Battlefront II, watching Babylong 5 and Ed Byrne before going home.  He is quite good at driving.

Due to the fact that engineering has finished and there are only a few weeks until study leave, i have decided to do ice skating for a couple of weeks.  It was amazing, i had the run of the ice rink!  Which meant that i was able to learn to turn corners.  Definately going to try to go for a term in year 13.

...was alright but dragged a bit towards the end.  However, it was good to see some of the people i had made friends with again (i.e. Linzi, James and Michael).  They all seemed slightly bemused by our school uniform and the apparent strictness of our school.  The assessors seemed pleased with what we done...and we managed to blab our way through ( Read more... )

Oh dear oh dear oh dear
We have an engineering presentation/visual display to do by the end of the week...as well as i have a few mock exams.  I have a strange feeling that next week may be a little stressful.

I loved these few days and i actually wish that it could go on for a little longer. (John - you were right; it was the best part of engineering). Nothing much else to say except i'm gonna miss the guys there and it was GREAT!!!

Monday evening we had some social time, where i talked to some of the other people from the other teams. Then on Tuesday we did some more work with me living in I.T. again, but this time we did have the test rig with the spark plug from the power station, so that was quite fun to play with (although we can't 'play' with it due to health and safety ( Read more... )

Well, first engineering day. Its been alright i suppose. The food has been decent and i have got a fair amount of work done. Feeling weary now though. Hopefully tomorrow we will get to play with the big spark plugs. YEY. We are staying in a hotel a short distance away, which will be good. Bit naff really. All i learnt was that for the residential we are going to be staying somewhere where the guy Lizzie likes goes to university, and also that Tom has an amazing ability of surviving in a desert without realising that they are hot in the day and cold at noght, and then thinking that sunglasses can be used in the same way as regular ( Read more... )
