day 3
I'm home early! And I actually did the preliminary sketches while I had to man the front desk at work!
Off to my sketchbook!!!
:edit: UNDER THE WIRE! I got it in at 2 minutes to midnight, my time. I technically have till noon tomorrow but... my DIGNITY as an ASIAN TIME ZONE ARTIST, dontcha know.
AND it's a 3-koma.
AND it's colored.
AND it's CRACK.
The theme is "Whipped."
...Personally I don't think he's whipped just from that, but look who's making the remark.XD
There is a VERY good reason that I don't draw Renji very often. I don't MIND him as a person, but I simply canNOT draw him, and the reason is his DAMN TATTOOS. I tried nine different ways from Sunday but could not for the love of Kubo manage even his eyebrow tattoos, and not in the time limit I had. Hence why he's sporting a shiny new pair of aviator shades that he just spent his latest paycheck on.
Heck, I think this is only the second time I've drawn Renji (and technically I drew him only once - I cheated and photoshopped the hell out of this one.) Ikkaku and Yumichika, by comparison, were the most fun to draw.:3
I think that (next to drawing Renji in this one) the hardest thing about this challenge has been drawing Ichigo. Getting his expressions right while retaining his trademark crankybrows is hard. But! I will persist!
maybe tomorrow I'll do something with the dolls...>.>
*smacks forehead* Hisagi would have been TONS easier to draw then Renji.
