I saw more ravings against a few selected characters and decided to write this rant.

Dawn is my favorite Pokemon girl, but there's one thing I never understood about the Pokemon fanbase, why is May from Pokemon disliked so immensely by some people?

I've seen that someone brought up Misty here, but I feel like making my own rant about the hatred she still gets to this day. Character bashing is in almost every fandom; sometimes there's a single character, sometimes there are several. But, in almost every fandom out there a character will be hated by a majority. Today, I am going to defend 50 characters from 14 different fandoms. Yes, I found 50 hated characters in only 14 fandoms. Well, let the defense begin.

For some reason, I found my last defense lacking. I figured out why: no real quotations from actual bashers, just paraphrasing. Here, I get more in-depth.

For once in Pokemon, we get a rival who is A) female and B) Not a total jerk to the hero they are a rival to.

A Brock/Ash couple shrine. Seems perfectly harmless. Brock/Ash isn't my OTP of choice, but I can appreciate it on some level. Unfortunately, it also contains Misty-bashing. The site hasn't been updated in 5 years, so I won't comment on the sitemaster herself, but the sentiments still crop up in Misty-bashing today.
