What characters are you surprised *aren't* hated?
Me, frankly, I'm surprised Mitsuo Yamaki from Digimon 03 hasn't incured the fandom's wrath. Perhaps it's because he was redeemed about halfway through the season, but in the beginning, he was ruthless, cruel, sadistic, and a tyrant. Although really, the thing I bet the poodles would latch onto would be his lighter. *click-a, click-a, click-a...*
For Final Fantasy fans, Prettz and Linaly from Legend of the Crystals. Not only is their series rather bad (it's fun but it's bad), they have very strong elements that the poodles don't like. Linaly is a kindly girl with a high voice who's been chosen to protect the Crystal of the Wind. Panty shots ensue. Prettz is an abrasive swordsman (swordsboy?) with a loud mouth and Happy Smiley Bombs. Together...they fight crime!
Harley Quinn from Batman: The Animated Series is a delightful minx of a gal. However, she's got horrible taste in guys (and girls, although Ivy treats her *way* better than Joker does), a high voice with a thick New York accent, she's almost always in high spirits (going between that and angst--she has next to no middle ground), and does everything for love. And she's a rather weak fighter, relying mostly on her wits...when she can summon them up, that is.
Madame Boss from Pokémon is shrewd, calculating...and dumber than a box of rocks. And she calls Giovanni a "brat", something that you'd think would rile dyed-in-the-wool TR fans. But yet...nothing. Perhaps this is due to her being an *extremely* obscure character, but hey, she's from the same CD drama that Miyamoto is from, and it seems they know about *her*...
So how about you guys? Ever been baffled that a character *isn't* hated?
