Alright?
I’ve got about as much energy to tell you what I got up to this holiday as you have to hear about it. Cliff walks, beer gardens and jamming inside a nicotine-corrupted barn pretty much sums it up. The bassist left a few days ago and unwittingly gave me his ‘digital-multi-track-recorder’. Since Velouria, my electric guitar, was broken, I had to resort to using the old acoustic and decided to lay down some bubblegum pop songs my Mum would like. Maybe Belle and Sebastian had been on. As it turned out, mixing took thrice as long as recording. It’s so fucking tedious. I can see why musicians never listen to their own work: all the tiny imperfections get louder and louder on every turn.
Go
HERE, and press ‘download’ under each one. If you have Itunes, set the equalizer to ‘rock’. But please, listen via headphones or half decent speakers. Hearing it through in-built laptop speakers insults both the artist and the listener. [strokes stubble]
Actually it’s because of the way I’ve mixed the ‘high gain’ … it would sound bad.
And, y’know… turn it up! Anyway, see some of you very soon.
EDIT: I've disabled the 'download' option as some parts go 'over the limit' and buzz, and paradoxically thanks to Myspace's slightly worse sound quality this doesn't happen.
