I got up early again. Why do I get up early on my days off?!
It snowed this morning, the little white pellets that are almost like frozen rain drops. Then it got warm and turned to a misty rain.
Since I sorted my laundry last night, it was quick work to get it the washing machine this morning. While it was doing it's business, I washed the firt load of dishes from supper for the last couple of days.
I then goofed around on the computer before transfereing the laundry to the dryer and setting the timer on the stove for half an hour to remove the lighter clothing before they got over dried. I hung up the the stuff that can air dry too.
Then I tackled the bathtub tile as it was getting that red slime from too much humidity with no escape. I will probably have to keep cleaning the bathtub area every week to keep the red slime at bay as the humidity in the apartment builds up so much during the day and night. We can't afford to run the dehumidifier 24/7, plus I can't sleep with it on. So we make do with a couple of hours every day and while we shower.
After that I washed my bras and hung them up to dry.
I printed off my mother-in-law's Christmas Cake recipe to check what I needed from the Bulk Barn. I used anhighlighter as this was the quickest way to make a list. A lot of stuff I use and never used was on the list, like candied cherries, lemon peel, and so on.
While on my way to the Mac's Milk I ran into a former resident of my building who was with her son's son. We caught up an what we have been doing of late. Her daughter's kids are in grade three and one. They grow so fast.
I got to the Mac's and got money so I could buy a sub at Subway. After a near misunderstanding over which sub I ordered, I got what I wanted which was the Pizza Sub.
I checked my three Lotto Max lottery tickets and won two free plays. I bought Encores and a chocolate bar.
At the bus stop I overheard three Regiopolis Notre Dame students talking about the loudness of voice acting in anime. Ah, geeks are everywhere.
I went to Chumleighs (a second hand store for dvd, video games, and such) to check out what they had available. Nothing I wanted in particular.
Went to Dollaramato get shrink wrap for the windows, a couple packs of Uno, some spray Comet tub and tile cleaner and somthing else that is escaping my memory at present.
I then went to the Bulk Barn and got all the items for the cake for $50.00. Now this will make a couple of cakes so I should be okay. And I still haven't got the brandy for soaking yet though I might do rum.
I went to McDonalds to see if The Hubby was there but it looks like I just missed him. And I just got my order in before the line of Mexican students that just came of a bus for snacks.
I got home and The Hubby was playing World of Warcraft. He got a new work sweater.
I did a second load of dishes, mainly pots and pans. I texted a friend that he should Wednesday to do his laundry as we will be away on Thursday evening. I thought about asking to check up on the cats but thought not to bother him as it's only over night and they can manage it.
UPS left a note for about the jeans I ordered will be at the downtown pick up station. I kinda figured they would be here today but I needed to get the cake stuff.
After catching up on each others day, I played Hearthstone while The Hubby made steak and mashed potatoes and gravy. I was not doing well.
I just made a Chocolate Quinoa cake and I don't think I did very well. I may have to try it again in the future. And I need to test if freezes well too.
Meanwhile, I am trying to get Keijo!!! done so I can check it off my list of anime being watched.
And I did a third laod of dishes from the Quinoa cake baking.
Tomorrow I got to map our transit routes for our trip and call the hotel to let them know we will be late checking in.
