Anyhow, I finally got the email back from that job pre-interview. Thanks, but no thanks. They said it wasn't a reflection on me, but a reflection on the large number of high quality applicants they had. It was a form letter though. Still, it was nice of them to try to avoid hurting anyone's feelings. Oh well, maybe next time.
Yesterday, I put another light over the kitchen sink, since the old one died. It was a little more effort than I expected, but those sort of things almost always are. It's an LED light, so it only uses 2 watts of power. This is the new light that I can leave on all the time if I want. It uses less power than an incandescent night light bulb, but provides plenty of light to see by. Yay for LEDs!
Got a nice sized handful of figs off the tree this morning. Yummy little treat.
