omg so tired.  The triathlon went well; got a 1:40, which is I think 8 minutes faster than my best time!  Pretty good since I didn't train for the last two weeks, and the bike route was pretty challenging.  Alan and Heather did the beginner race, which was half the distance of the one my mom and I did.  They both finished and got good times, though ( Read more... )

Today was a bit of an epiphany for me on the bike!  I went to the gym and used the stationary bike, since it was rainy and super-windy outside.  Usually when I use the stationary I raise the level (like going up a gear...or maybe half a gear, I guess) every five minutes to work on endurance.  I noticed a couple weeks ago, though, that doing that ( Read more... )

I pretty much rocked the triathlon today.  I made it up the murderous hill, which I have never in my entire life managed to bike the whole way up...I biked up it not once, but TWICE.  No walking for me!  Third year's the charm, I guess!

Triathlon was a bust this morning.  :(  My first time not finishing.  I got two flat tires before the end of the first lap!  There were some guys on mopeds driving around fixing flats, but they weren't actually very educated on how to change a tire, so it took over half an hour.  And it's a good thing I had a bike kit on my bike, because other than ( Read more... )
