Anyway, it was a good race. Again, I clocked my best time yet and I bet my goal of finishing in less than 2hrs 50min. 2:48:48!!! w-o-o-and then a t. New goal is 2hr 45min for the next race in October. Can't wait. Also, I became a member of the "month of May marathon" club. You had to have completed 2 half marathons (which equals 1 full 26.2mi marathon) during the month of May. We got a free technical training shirt and VIP access to stuff after the race, but I didn't stay around for that.
Earlier this evening was a derby bout against the Pike's Peak Roller Girls. Those bitches were brutal and very unsportsmanlike. Lots of shoving and pushing and tripping. I almost got hit by a rollergirl flying at me in the suicide seats. It was thrilling. The guy behind me got his beer kicked over. We all laughed at him.
I couldve sworn I bought a ticket online for this bout, but now that I checked, I actually didnt. Luckily, I knew the guy working at the will call ticket booth, because he let me in anyway even though I wasnt on the list. :P oopsies.
