It's been ages since I've updated. I've been so busy.
In July, Alicia and I volunteered to be in the pit orchestra of a community theater production of "The Sound of Music". Ugh, that was brutal. 3-4 hrs a night of the same fucking gay ass music. (no offense to the gays).
Now that that's finally wrapped, roller derby workshops start this week. eee! I'm kinda nervous and excited. I just hope I dont injure myself before I have a chance to learn everything and prove what I can do.
Another thing that has me uber excited lately is preparing for Jason's move to Indy (finally). I've been out scouting out apartments (I think I've settled on one), looking at what furniture I wanna get, and doing some preliminary packing. September 1st is the planned move date, yay. Jason's probably gonna move down a few days beforehand and stay here with me and Alicia (ugh) until we can officially move in. I'm talking like we have a place already, but hopefully we will after this week when I turn in the application and put down the deposit to hold the apartment till Sept.
Hm, what else...
Alicia joined the local women's football team, the Indianapolis Speed. She plays one of the big ass linemen, er, linewomen. Right now is just training camp-like stuff. She comes home ornery and in pain every night. Haha for her. But that's what I'm gonna be like after derby starts. I guess we just like physical torture to put ourselves through this kinda stuff.
Oh yeah, I was looking at apartment complexes near Eagle Creek Park, where I spend the bulk of my "me time". It's within walking distance, plus there is a Target (drool), a grocery store, the gym where I'm a member, easy access to the interstate, and Tish lives there too. Pretty much it's the perfect area of the city. I NEED to live there. :P
