Update

Sorry it took so long to get an update up. This weekend was a little bit hectic and it doesn't look like it'll be slowing down over the next few days. My appointment on thursday was a bit odd. They checked my blood pressure and it was 175/110 *gasp* So they sent me right over to the Hospital, which is literally across the street from my doctor. The doctor said they were going to admit me overnight to monitor me and if my blood pressure didn't go down they were going to send me up to Washington DC to induce labor becuase it'd be better for me and the baby that way.

By the time I got into the hospital and was hooked to the monitor, my blood pressure was down to 152/95. While that's still high, it's not so alarming. So after five hours of monitoring me, they sent me home. I was told that I had to be on strict bed rest and I could no longer watch Brayden. And they had me do a 24 urine collection for a more accurate picture of just how much extra protein there is. So now I'm waiting for the results of that test. And I have another appointment with my OB tomorrow.

So here's what could happen:
1. If my blood pressure is still high and there's a lot of protein in my urine, they will induce me and I'll be having Harley in the next couple days.

2. If my blood pressure is back to normal and there's a lot of protein in my urine, they might induce me. But they will probably just have me go to the hospital every couple of days to be monitored. If everything seems fine, they'll let me go until I go into labor.

3. If my blood pressure is still high and there's only a little bit of protein in my urine, they'll have me get monitored every couple days until I go into labor.

And in cases two and three, if I make it to my due date without going into labor on my own, they will most likely induce me shortly thereafter. They'd do this simply because the environment in the womb will most likely get hostile after that point faster then normal.

The good thing about all this is that if they do have to induce me on tuesday (or anytime before I get to term), they can do it right here in town. Before 35 weeks they have to send you up to Washington, but after that they can do it right here.

So I'll try to get on here on wednsday and let you know what's up. If I can't, I'll find someone that can for me.

baby
