I am a new hamster owner. I bought a female Syrian yesterday. I named her Buttercup. With her I bought pine shavings (first mistake) and natural cotton nesting material (second mistake). is it safe to leave some critter bath sand/powder, inside a dwarf's cage? ive seen some people have the little baths with a little bit, in the cage at all times. or should I only let him use it, when I can keep an eye on him?
