wet tail with new hamster?
i just recently got my new hamster home a couple days ago. her name is capri, a syrian hamster.
just this morning, i noticed she had wet tail. the signs were quite clear; wet bottom, loss of appetite, lethargy...so i scoured the web for possible treatment and then went to the store for dri-tail, pedialyte, and some canned pumpkin. i just tried to give her some of the dri-tail, and the only way i found effective unfortunately is to hold the scruff of her neck and place the feeding tube in her mouth. i feel like i might be hurting her, tho, because she obviously doesn't like it...but she won't take it any other way, not by herself. am i doing this right???
