Book Review: O'Hara's Choice.
This book is set around the late 1800's and is about the Marines.
I had read Leon Uris' other book about Marines - Battle Cry. That one is about the Marines in the second World War. To be honest when I started this book I had hoped for a book that would be as good.. but it isn't.. it falls far short.
It has its moments... it definately does.. but when you read a book about the marines you hope to see some action or war or something... this book is more about politics and how a couple of brave marines managed to save the Corps from extinction after the Civil War.
The book definately doesn't match up to Uris' other books like Battle Cry, Mila 18 and others.
5/10 at best.
