OK, so I understand that I took a job of my own free will and in full knowledge of the job conditions and requirements of the job. But I never, ever remember it being 110 degrees last summer. Ever. Apparently, there is some sort of freako high pressure system stuck over California. And I need to work inside a wine bottle making factory. When it's 109 tomorrow, it will probably be a steady 135 in the area I work in.
And I have to go. Why, you ask? Why don't you take the day off and let the other nutjobs run the machines while you in your wisdom stay home in the air conditioned comfort of your apartment?
1. I took today off partially because of some bad Del Taco ingested in LA on Thursday night, and partially because the forcast said something about 110 degrees in Modesto today.
2. They switched my shift at work, so I just had my week off, and we need the money, because I didn't make enough in LA on the waterfront.
So, I'm truly scared for my health. And I had to get that off my chest.
