Life Happens

I used to think there were not enough hours in the day. I was right. Now, I am actively looking into time freezing technology

I went back to work last Monday, and it feels really good. I like getting back to my routine, seeing people, and being out of the house. It was very hard to send Danger to daycare though. He seems to like it well enough, but it is hard to only spend a few quality hours with him in the evening.

Mike and I have started some serious attempts at weight loss. I’d love to get rid of the baby belly and back into my pretty pretty clothes. So last week we started the
P90X workout. I missed a couple days last week due to time (and one day of killer migraine) but it feels fantastic to be working out again. Wish me luck on keeping up with it.

Since Mike has also started a diet and I can’t really diet due to nursing, I’m actually in charge of feeding myself for the first time in years. It’s going ok. On Sunday I made some delicious mango chicken salad with coconut from Better Homes and Gardens. I think it turned out well, even if I needed to add more seasoning. However, I was reminded again how much I loathe touching raw chicken.

So between work, baby, dogs, working out, eating, and daily dishes and laundry that the baby produces, I’m short on time. Things are starting to slide. I’m just telling myself that the important things are getting done, and I can ignore the rest for now. Right?

I did, however, find time on Saturday to go on a super fantastic yarn crawl with Katie, Amy, Nicky, and Michelle! We went to 5 different yarn shops, and I bought so much great yarn! I haven’t had time to play with any of it yet, but I’m really looking forward to starting new projects. I have big plans for mittens, scarves, and a baby sweater. Knitting is going very slowly these days, though. We’ll see if I can make time to fit it in, as I figure out the routine better.
