Tomorrow should be fun

Don't worry everyone, I haven't forgotten about my promise to take lots of pictures of Chico and post them here. I've just been kind of busy with Real Life. I've got an Accounting test on Friday, which I haven't studied for yet, although I really should have since that's my hardest class. Thankfully, I found out today that most of it is multiple choice. Not all though, and even if it all were multiple choice, I'd still need to study. And then on Tuesday, I'll have my first Marketing Test. We've had two quizzes in Marketing, just no tests yet. Thankfully, that's all on a Scantron. I'm not planning on studying for that until the weekend - accounting takes priority until that test is finished.

However, my Applications Programming teacher is giving us a day off not tomorrow but a week from tomorrow. Thursdays are normally one of the days where I start late (2 PM instead of 1 PM - both are technically quite a bit later than what I'm used to). And the Applications Programming takes up the vast majority of my Thursday schedule. So I plan on taking my digital camera to school and around town next Thursday and taking lots of pictures. My memory card arrived literally the day before my parents took me up here, and it's quite nice. It holds 339 pictures on the highest picture quality level - 6.2 megapixels. There's also a RAW option, which isn't compressed at all, but I won't be using that too much. However, even that option holds about the same as a full roll of old fashioned film, I think it is 37 or 38 pictures, so a little more even.

Anyway, the reason tomorrow should be fun is that Lee returned my call this evening. We'll be meeting on campus tomorrow. She's been going to Chico State for a few years now, so I called her in the hopes that she'd be willing to show me around town. I've done some exploring on my own, of course, but I figured it would be nice to have advice from someone who has been here for years. Although she did an exchange program with Hunter College in New York last year, this is her fourth year, so she's still been here for two years, not counting this one.

I was starting to wonder whether or not she'd return my call lately since it has been more than a week since I called and left a message on her voice mail. But it turns out that the reason she took so long was probably partly my fault: she told me that she couldn't hear the last four digits of my phone number, I must have turned away from the phone when I was saying them. She had to call her mom and get my number from her. I felt kind of bad about that. I guess I'm still getting used to this whole cell phone thing. Also, she told me that she's taking 21 units this semester, so now I can see why she took a week to return my call. That's an insane amount of work. I'm keeping plenty busy with 15 units - I think this is my limit for the amount of work I can do at one time. I am eternally grateful for my parents paying for my college expenses; this would be so much harder if I had to work my way through college.

Oh yeah, something interesting happened today. I saw someone walking through the lobby at Craig Hall with an MPC Basketball shirt on. I was going to ask him some lame question, like if he was from Monterey, and mention that I went to MPC myself, but he seemed kind of weird and I didn't want to be associated with him, so I didn't end up saying anything.
