Less to report on day 2. It was a blissfully quiet day at work, which meant I got to leave on time, which meant I could go see Urban Samurai's production of Matthew Everett's
Leave (about which I will write more later). I got mildly turned around en route (really quite mild compared to other navigational boners I've pulled in the past) and ended up being glad I did, because I don't remember ever having seen a more perfect full moon--low and golden and literally breathtaking. After the show (at which I was, amusingly, not-recognized by several people I knew from my Playwrights' Center days--so, you know, longer than I've known my wife) I managed to get a couple minutes of phone time with my beloved before, once again, skirting the whole pesky sleep thing 'til just after midnight. Of course, I was up and at 'em at 6:15, as always (damn you, fuzzy alarm clocks!), but that is a story for another day.
