One more day!
Happy day before elections, everyone! I admit I'll be happy when it's over. I'm well-informed, and I like being well-informed, but the news has been nothin' but elections for the past month or so, and I'm quite looking forward to hearing stories that confirm my hunch that there's, you know, a world out there.
For the Minnesotans in the house, remember to take a look at "MyVote" over Strib way, or the League of Women Voters' 2008 Voters Guide. Find info on all the candidates in all the races. Don't let a school board or Soil and Water Supervisor race catch you unawares! (No, really, I mean it this year; there are some very scary people running for school board and Soil and Water Supervisors around here.)
ETA: aedifica also points out this rather interesting voters' guide, which appears to originate with The League of Young Voters (they're based in NYC, which is why I'm not sure if they're really the ones behind this). It's far from impartial; they appear to be Dems up one side and down the other, but it's a much different take on the candidates than you'll get from either of the other sites, and a lot of info. I haven't been able to find anywhere else. Pretty useful.
