"Good morning! Breakfast is ready!"
I usually wake up around 9~10am when I'm on holiday, I hardly ever eat breakfast and here I was at 8am with rice, natto, yogurt, jam, miso soup, vegetables, eggs, bread, butter, tea, milk,... in front of me.
Well, I love food and I love trying new food so apart from the fact that my stomach was begging me to stop filling him that much: no problem 8D
After breakfast, we went to a place where sister, Hiroe (Takahashi wife co-worker) and I made our own bamboo and paper uchiwa. There were other people with us including children and seriously, my sense of creatiity is so awful that I felt completely ridiculous when I Iooked around me and saw what kids did. Oh, at least we laughed and had fun together, that's what matters most right?
Since it needed to dry, they sent it to us and we should receive the package soon. I really wonder what the final result will look like xD
We then went to eat soft cream and once we got back home, everybody felt tired (which is normal when you get up that early...) so they went for a nap and I stayed alone in the living room watching this weird "Let's learn English!" TV show. No wonder why most Japanese people can't speak English if they learn through this kind of show xD
Anyway, when everybody woke up, the Takahashi couple have actually organized a tea ceremony for the 3 of us. Once it was over, they even
let us try to make the tea ourselves so I made a cup for Hiroe, Hiroe made one for sister and sister made one for me which leaded to this picture.
I had always wanted to do this and I was even more happy when I was asked to make a cup of tea for the grandmother who told me that it was good ♥
It was maybe around 3~4pm but we had to start making dinner because we had planned to have
soba and tempura (this is only a very small part of what we ate xD ) and
cutting vegetables and sister's finger,
making soba dough,
cutting it and cooking everything was quite long so that's we had to start that early. Another very nice co-worker came at home to eat with us and we had a very generous and warm dinner together ♥
Once again, I had to ignore my stomach which was crying, telling me that it was already more than full but hey, I challenge any of you to stop eating when you have fresh home made tempura and soba in front of you and when you love food as much as I do 8D
To end this perfect day, Takahashi wife and Hiroe helped us to put yukata on and we all made hanabi in the garden.
When I went to sleep that day, I was totally full I was thankful to have meet such a great family but thinking that the next day would already be our last one together kind of made me sad...
