So here it is Merry Christmas
and everybody's having fun (?!)
I think I may well be alone in my mild dislike of Christmas and all things festive. No I'm not scrooge, just for varying reasons (well one- it all comes back to the same person) I've never had a particularly enjoyable one.
But that is irrelevant- Merry Christmas and Happy New Year/ Hope you had a happy Chunnukah/Ede/Diwali (delete as applicable)
Anyway,I'm almost determined to have a good Christmas this year. Unlike every other Christmas there shall almostly definitly not be an argument over presents, vegetables served up at the Christmas dinner, who sits where or, bizarrly enough, shoes. There shall be no storming arguments where someone runs up to their room in tears. There shall be no sloppy eaters at the table. No one complaining they don't like what they've been given. No one sulking because they felt they've been ignored for all of 2 1/2 minutes. No one crying to get attenion. No childish squabbles. No one complaining that my parents like someone else more than them. This year we shall be free!
Its amazing what the lack of a 70 year old woman does to the atmosphere really.
