Where by "comedy show", I mean my country.
Silvan Shalom is no longer Minister of the Interior. This is because several women stepped forward and complained of sexual harassment on his part (which the police took very seriously), with a side of his wife (a well-known media figure) threatening those women on twitter (which the police also took seriously).
Judy Nir-Shalom-Mozes's actions are hilarious enough (on twitter), but that's not the thing. The Thing is that this is now a pattern: you wanna take out a corrupt politician, find the women he harassed. Note the lack of "if": people who are corrupt are never corrupt in only one way, and politicians least of all. There will be a history of harassment, and the situation in Israel is that anything sufficiently substantiated to warrant Serious Investigation kills a career - any public career - within a week.
...oh and also. Silvan Shalom is no longer a member of the Knesset, either - and the guy who took his seat? Founded and heads the Likud's gay chamber. Yeah, the Likud: our ruling Right-wing party. We just scored our first non-Lefty non-heteronormative MK - because an Old Guard MK didn't get the hint after he was forced to drop out of the race for presidency because, y'know, he's a sex offender. And also his career-woman wife thought she could harass and threaten his victims on social media.
I'm not even sure how many MKs got kicked out in the past month for this reason.
