Am bored with my music. I've had some luck from Something Awful's music recommendation thread so far, but not a lot. I wanted to ask you lovely people if everyone could please recommend one (or more) band/artist that you think I haven't heard of or haven't given much of a chance to. And maybe say why you like them/think I would like them if you wanted. Or just anything you want to say really.
If you care, some bands that I like, with links to songs that you can listen to if you want an idea of what they sound like:
Neutral Milk Hotel (Here is Holland 1945)
Wolf Parade (have just released a new album, yay!) I recommend you all listen to this song Call It A Ritual even though the sound quality of that video isn't as good as the version I have (As well as You are a Runner and I am My Father's Son, It's a Curse, Grounds for Divorce, I'll Believe in Anything. I like this band quite a lot currently)
Clap Your Hands Say Yeah - The Skin of my Yellow Country Teeth
Modest Mouse - March into the Sea
Blackalicious - Powers and World of Vibrations
36 Crazy Fists - Emo Metal Angst from a simpler time.
Tool - Schism. This video is pretty weird, like most Tool videos.

The Animal Collective - Fireworks (Similar genre to Battles, who I also like) EDIT: The lyrics are fairly incomprehensible, and I have just learned that at one point he sings "A sacred night, we'll watch the fireworks.
The frightened babies poo. They've got two flashing eyes and they're colored, why?" I think this person just guessed at the lyrics, maybe? Other Internet sources disagree with them.
Ben Folds - Tiny little man plays piano really well and complains about America, "Jesusland" Tiny little man and his band, "Army"

You don't have to recommend me music based on what I've put here, though. I just felt like giving you some links in case you had no idea where to start. If you feel like giving me a link to a song of the band(s) that you recommend, that would be awesome, as I tend to manage to find the worst song on the album when I go-a-youtubing unguided. But you don't have to. Whatever you feel like recommending me is probably awesome because you are awesome people.
