I'm cleaning out my office/library prepping for a band rehearsal tomorrow...we have a gig October 4! I'm looking forward to playing again, and I have a new drum I'm still not used to...
I just auditioned for a killer part in a great play with a wonderful director...and my schedule clashes pretty badly with the rehearsal schedule he has laid out. So even though I think I did well, I don't think I'm likely to get the part. Oh, well...I have other options for theater work coming up...
Daughter is looking at a horse today. She and her teacher have started shopping seriously for my kid's potential mount...I have a disciplined, intelligent, thoughtful, adaptable child. Amazing.
I watched bits of both conventions (broadcast coverage only--I don't have cable) and I was interested at how much alike they were. Not the rhetoric or policies, but the behavior, the language of politics, the silly hats and goofy signs, the damned balloons...reminds me of an old bumper sticker: With the Republicans, it's man against man, and with the Democrats, it's just the opposite. Sometimes that is so true...
Get your Republicans for Voldemort stuff at goats.com--do I hear any nominations for Bellatrix for VP?
