NO ORDINARY GOALS

First post of the year...

I've decided to start taking a screen capture of my food diary totals to see which areas need improvement. This way I know what I'm doing wrong straight away and it won't be 5 months later and I'm wondering "what happened? why am I not losing?"

Lessons from week one: my fat totals NEED help. MFP had me on 30% fat and according to Jillian Michaels oxidizer plan, I am supposed to be eating a 40/30/30 diet but right now 40% carbs is unrealistic and I'd be setting myself up for failure (especially after 5 months on MFP's 55% carb ratio). So instead I'm going to be realistic and ease into it by switching from MFP's original 55/15/30 to 50/25/25. Now that my macronutrients have my attention I can see that I was taking in a whole lot of fat. I didn't realize I ate so much fat. I wonder if this is why I wasn't losing with all that hard work. Man, what a difference 5% makes. I'm working on it. And since I always like to see a silver lining...

What I'm proud of: is my sodium. I'm really kicking ass with regards to sodium intake, which is good since I still suck at getting in the 8 glasses of water per day (EVEN THOUGH WATER IS THE ONLY BEVERAGE I CONSUME, so weird). Which brings me to...

Things I need to work on: drinking, even when I don't feel thirsty. And of course working on not going over on the fat even if it is only by -2.
